Terms of Use

Rules for accessing and using eresinstitute.org, its materials, forms, downloads, and the openly licensed ERES Corpus. Two things set these terms apart from a standard notice: the corpus is free to reuse with attribution, and everything here is a verifiable research claim — not a product, security, or guarantee.

Effective: September 6, 2026 Applies to: eresinstitute.org Corpus license: CCAL v2.1 / CC-BY 4.0 Governing law: Arkansas, USA

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the website operated by the ERES Institute for New Age Cybernetics, including eresinstitute.org and its related pages, materials, forms, documents, and digital content. By accessing or using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

The Institute & the purpose of this website

▾

The website presents the work of the ERES Institute for New Age Cybernetics (Empirical Realtime Education System) — an independent research and education think tank founded on February 4, 2012, in Bella Vista, Arkansas, and led by Joseph A. Sprute (ERES Maestro).

It publishes the ERES Corpus: a body of governance, economics, and education research organized around the 1000-Year Future Map, including named instruments and frameworks such as PlayNAC, UBIMIA, GAIA, EarnedPath, SCALULAR, BERA, SROC, and the Meritcoin / GraceChain Proof-of-Resonance concept. The site is intended for researchers, students, institutions, policymakers, collaborators, and the interested public.

02

Informational & research use only

▾

All content is provided for general informational, educational, and scholarly purposes. Nothing on the website constitutes:

  • a binding commercial offer;
  • an investment recommendation, solicitation, or securities offering;
  • legal, tax, financial, medical, engineering, environmental, or regulatory advice;
  • a guarantee of any result, performance, or outcome;
  • a final technical specification; or
  • a representation that any concept, model, or deployment has received regulatory approval in any jurisdiction.

Any technical, economic, or policy material is preliminary unless expressly stated otherwise in a signed agreement or a formally issued document.

03

Research constructs — not financial products or securities

▾

Several ERES frameworks use the vocabulary of economics and value — for example UBIMIA (Universal Basic Income + Merit, Incentives & Awards), Meritcoin, GraceChain, Proof-of-Resonance, SROC (Smart-Resonant Offset Contracts), and related terms. Because that vocabulary can be misread, the Institute states plainly:

Plain statement
These are conceptual research and simulation constructs. Nothing on this website is an offer, solicitation, or invitation to buy, sell, or invest in any security, token, coin, cryptocurrency, fund, or financial instrument. The ERES Institute has not issued or sold any token or coin, and references to such mechanisms describe governance and economic models under study — not products you can purchase and not promises of financial return.

Any future instrument that might carry legal or financial effect would exist only under separate, formal, signed documentation that complies with applicable law. Do not treat anything here as such an instrument.

04

Intellectual property & the open ERES license

▾

Unlike a conventional "all rights reserved" notice, the ERES Institute publishes its corpus openly. The original text, diagrams, frameworks, and documents that make up the ERES Corpus are released under the ERES Creative Attribution License (CCAL) v2.1 / Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC-BY 4.0).

What you may do
You may copy, share, adapt, translate, remix, and build upon the ERES Corpus — including for commercial purposes — provided you: (1) give appropriate credit to the ERES Institute for New Age Cybernetics / Joseph A. Sprute (ERES Maestro); (2) link to the license; and (3) indicate if you made changes. You may not imply the Institute endorses you or your use.

Two limits sit outside the content license:

  • Marks & identity. The ERES name, "ERES Maestro," the ERES logo, and related marks are not licensed under CC-BY. Do not use them in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership, authorization, or affiliation without prior written permission.
  • Third-party material. Some pages may include content owned by others (for example quoted figures, embedded media, or partner materials). That content remains under its own rights and is not covered by the ERES license.

Where a specific document states a different or additional license, that document's stated terms control for that document.

05

Doctrine of Verifiable Claims

▾

ERES publishes its work as testable, falsifiable claims and instruments rather than as warranties. Benchmarks, scores (for example BEST / SOUND / GOOD), models, and projected results describe what the Institute asserts and invites others to verify — not what it guarantees.

The invitation
You are encouraged to examine, reproduce, and challenge the corpus. A claim you can check is the point; treat every figure and forecast as a hypothesis to test, not a promise to rely upon. Independent verification is welcomed and does not create any obligation on either side.
06

No automatic partnership, license, or commitment

▾

Visiting the website, submitting a form, downloading materials, or communicating with the Institute does not create a partnership, joint venture, agency relationship, employment, exclusivity, confidentiality obligation, or commercial commitment — unless confirmed in a written agreement signed by authorized representatives of the parties. (The open corpus license in Section 4 is the one standing grant, and applies on its own stated terms.)

07

Forward-looking & simulation statements

▾

The website describes concepts, potential applications, development stages, projected economics, environmental or social benefits, and long-horizon plans — including the 1000-Year Future Map. Some statements are forward-looking or simulated and depend on future testing, review, financing, adoption, and conditions outside the Institute's control. Actual outcomes may differ materially. The Institute may update, revise, suspend, or discontinue any description or concept at any time without notice.

08

User submissions & contributions

▾

When you submit information through the website, you represent that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you are authorized to submit it, and that it does not infringe third-party rights or violate applicable law.

If you send ideas, feedback, or suggestions, you grant the Institute a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to use them to operate and improve its research and communications, consistent with the Institute's open-publication practice. Do not send material you are not willing to have used this way.

09

Confidentiality & sensitive information

▾

Do not submit confidential, proprietary, export-controlled, classified, trade-secret, or otherwise sensitive information through public forms or email unless the Institute has first agreed in writing to receive it under a non-disclosure agreement or other appropriate arrangement. Information submitted through public channels may be used to review and respond to your inquiry and to keep records of correspondence.

10

Prohibited use

▾

You agree not to:

  • interfere with the security or operation of the website;
  • attempt unauthorized access to systems, servers, accounts, or data;
  • upload malware or harmful code;
  • impersonate any person or organization;
  • use the website for spam, phishing, fraud, or unlawful activity;
  • misrepresent ERES content, frameworks, or relationships, or falsely imply endorsement; or
  • remove copyright, license, trademark, or attribution notices from ERES materials.

Reasonable use of automated tools to read openly licensed content is permitted, provided it does not degrade the website's operation or security.

11

Third-party links & tools

▾

The website links to third-party services — for example GitHub, Zenodo, Google Scholar, ORCID, LinkedIn, and the optional Google Translate widget. The Institute does not control these services and is not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, security, or privacy practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.

12

Downloads & documents

▾

PDFs, papers, presentations, and corpus deposits are provided for informational and research use unless expressly marked final and binding. The Institute may revise or remove documents at any time. You are responsible for confirming that any downloaded material is suitable for your intended use and for obtaining professional advice before relying on it for technical, financial, regulatory, or commercial decisions.

13

No warranty

▾

The website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Institute disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and freedom from errors or harmful components. This disclaimer sits alongside the Doctrine of Verifiable Claims in Section 5: claims are offered to be tested, not warranted.

14

Limitation of liability

▾

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the ERES Institute and its founder, contributors, advisors, and representatives will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunity, or business interruption arising from or related to use of the website or reliance on its content. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

15

Privacy

▾

Personal information submitted through the website is handled as described in the ERES Privacy Policy. By submitting information, you acknowledge that the Institute may process it for the purposes described there.

16

International access, export & sanctions

▾

The website may be accessed worldwide. You are responsible for complying with the laws applicable to your location and intended use — including export-control, sanctions, data-protection, procurement, and securities laws where relevant. The open license in Section 4 does not override any legal restriction that applies to you.

17

Changes to the website & these Terms

▾

The Institute may update the website, its content, and these Terms at any time. Updated Terms take effect when posted on this page unless stated otherwise. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

18

Governing law & venue

▾

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or agreed in writing, these Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, with venue in the state and federal courts serving Benton County, Arkansas. The final governing-law, venue, and dispute-resolution language should be confirmed by qualified counsel before production reliance.
